Blizzcon 2014 continues to be the convention that keeps on giving with new information being announced for StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void. Next up on the information circuit is news about two new cooperative modes that Blizzard will be implementing.
One new mode being implemented for Legacy of the Void is called Archon Mode and will be a two-player experience. Similar to the Two-Headed Dragon variant of play in Magic: the Gathering, Archon Mode involves both players sharing control of a single base and army in multiplayer combat. Perhaps with the control of two skilled players, some of the more advanced tech that top Korean players implement might be capable of pulling off by those less gifted.
Secondly is the addition of Allied Commanders. In this new cooperative mode, players join together and take the role of powerful commanders from all three factions of the StarCraft universe. There will be multiple battle scenarios to play through, leveling up the individual commanders’ battle prowess and capabilities as they progress.
Blizzard has not formally announced a release date or price for StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void but it will be a PC exclusive.
