Today Koei Tecmo has announced plans to localize the last two Dusk titles in the Atelier series: Atelier Ayesha and Atelier Shallie.
The first title to be released next year is Atelier Ayesha Plus: The Alchemist of Dusk. This enhanced Playstation Vita version focuses on the story of Ayesha Altugle, an alchemist that works alone in her workshop selling healing herbs.
The enhanced PlayStation Vita version will bring new features including dual audio, bosses from Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky, new costumes, a hard mode and the Album missions which unlock exclusive costumes and gameplay features and the ability to change party members at any time. Additionally, almost all content from the original PlayStation 3 version can be carried over.
Second up on Koei Tecmo’s release calendar is Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea, a title that is being localized for the first time. New to the series is the option to play as one of two heroines: Shallistera and Shallotte, both of whom share the same nickname. Atelier Shallie will be a Playstation 3-exclusive with no announcement of a Plus version in the works yet.
For the first time in the Atelier series, Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea will include a 360 degree camera, giving players more freedom as they explore a vast world map that has expanded greatly with many new environments that evolve based on how the player progresses. In the new Quest system players can either take on only assignments necessary to progress the game or earn more points engaging in additional, more challenging quests.
Both Atelier titles will be available starting early next year. Atelier Ayesha Plus: The Alchemist of Dusk will be available exclusively on the Playstation Vita on January 13th, 2015 for $39.99USD. Later on in the year, Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea will launch on the Playstation 3 on March 13th, 2015 for $49.99USD.
