Reddit has been an odd community gathering that fans have been desiring to come to their consoles for quite some time now and now one of the next gen consoles has gotten its first Reddit application, ReddX.
ReddX is the first native Reddit app available on consoles and is available exclusively on the Xbox One. Currently ReddX is only available in the US and Canada as their ad supplier only operates in those two countries. It goes without saying that ReddX is mildly ad-supported; however, the app is free to download from the Xbox Marketplace.
You can check out a featurelist here, with more features to roll out with incremental updates:
- Full input support – Use your controller, voice and gesture with Kinect, SmartGlass device, USB keyboard, or even your Xbox One Media Remote to control ReddX.
- Full snap support – ReddX supports a full snapped experience so you can browse reddit while waiting in a game lobby or watching a video or TV.
- Achievements – Yes, you can even get media achievements for voting, commenting, or even just lurking around. You’re going to love the images.
- Enhanced image support – Zoom and pan images right inside the app.
