Oneechanbara Z2: Chaos was announced just last month in Weekly Famitsu as a Playstation 4 exclusive in Japan. Now, more details are surfacing on the 60FPS zombie-slasher including an opening video and first-print costume bonus.
Oneechanbara, developed by Tamsoft of Battle Arena Toshinden fame, originally got its start as a budget title in the Simple 2000 series. The Simple 2000 was named such as these budget titles typically held a pricetag of 2,000 Yen upon release in Japan. Very few titles in this series have garnered international attention and even fewer have had multiple, full-priced sequels (Earth Defense Force is one example).
Now, Tamsoft is making their next-gen debut with the upcoming Oneechanbara Z2: Chaos. Down below, you can check out the game’s opening movie along with an announcement for some special first-print costumes. Who knew that strawberries and bananas would make suitable outfits for battle? This is one title I plan on importing later this year, if solely for the guilty pleasure of hacking up zombies at 60 frames per second.
Oneechanbara Z2: Chaos is set for an October 30th, 2014 release in Japan. No other regions have been confirmed yet.
