Not too long ago, we got the announcement of the upcoming Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS, which serve as remakes of the classic Ruby & Sapphire. We knew Mega Evolutions would be involved again, but thanks to the July issue of CoroCoro magazine, we have learned about three new ones that we will see in the game.
Two of the Mega Evolutions are no surprise at all with Mega Sceptile and Mega Swampert. However, the third one of the group is a major surprise, as the Pokemon is not only the first Gen 6 Pokemon to get a form, but isn’t event available in the game with its base evolution right now. That Pokemon is Diancie, who is the focus of the next Pokemon movie titled “Diancie & the Cocoon of Destruction.”
Mega Sceptile will be a Grass/Dragon type with an ability called Lightning Rod, Mega Swampert will have the ability Swift Swim, while Mega Diancie has not had her special ability revealed yet. Look for the likely official reveal during E3 next week when we should see more from the game.
