With all the mistakes made with Xbox One’s features, Microsoft may have lost $1 billion in the process.
This is according to a report from SFGate who quoted from Wedbush Securities analyst, Michael Patcher. Microsoft made some mistakes that led to the Xbox One not being nearly as popular as the PS4.
Marketing was bad for the Xbox One last year when the company forced its customers to stay online and made a barrier to trade in games. They reversed that decision before the console launched.
One thing they stuck with however was the $500 price tag which included a Kinect with very console. Again, consumers weren’t buying it so now Microsoft is selling a SKU without Kinect for a more attractive price of $399.
Microsoft may have lost $1 billion for the mistakes it made, but could gain the money back now that most of the unpopular features of the Xbox One are now gone.
