One of the biggest unveiling to come from Nintendo at E3 was their now named Amiibo figures. Similar to the Skylanders and Disney Infinity series, these figures will be able to be used in games on the Wii U, and later the 3DS through an accessory. Thanks to a poster on NeoGAF, we have our first images of the packaging for the figures when they release later this year.
With Super Smash Bros. being the first game to utilize these figures, the ones being shown off of course correspond to the characters found in that title. Also, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime was asked about the potential price for these figures. Reggie said that they would be comparable in price to Skylanders and Disney Infinity figures, which tend to run between $10 and $15 as a rule.
