E3 has certainly gone through plenty of changes over the years, but the convention has been pretty similar the last few years. However, the number of exhibitors did go down this year, from 230 to 200, so there were some little changes from year to year.
Regardless, E3 2014 managed to attract a larger attendee count than the previous year, with a total of 49,900. That count is 700 more than we saw in 2013, so even with less exhibitors, there was more traffic all around the convention center. It was also announced that the convention generated $40 million in revenue for the city of Los Angeles.
