WARNING! CHALLENGE APPROACHING! It’s been quite awhile since we’ve had character news for the upcoming Super Smash Bros., but Masahiro Sakurai decided to finish off the week with the reveal of a veteran character from the Fire Emblem series, Ike.
Ike first made an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a playable character as a somewhat replacement for Roy, taking up the second Fire Emblem slot alongside Marth.
Pic of the day. Ike, the swordsman of magnificent strength, joins the battle!! Strike your foes down with his powerful smash attacks.
For this game, Ike’s design is based on the hero that appears in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. His sword deals heavy damage in Smash Bros., so this design suits him very well! Rest assured, he can use Aether as well.
Now, the question is whether or not the Fire Emblem series will gain another slot, for someone like Chrom or Lucina that fans would love to see from the most recent entry in the series, Fire Emblem: Awakening. A bunch of pictures have also been released for Ike in the game, all of which can be seen below.
