Ever since the debut of Game of Thrones three years ago, its opening credits have been one of the most talked about elements of the show. Game of Thrones is awesome enough on its own, but the opening is so well done and different from most we have today, especially with most shows just having a title card. As a result, this Super Mario World and Game of Thrones opening mashup is incredibly awesome.
Rather than seeing movement around the map of Westeros, we get a tour of Dinosaur Land. Going from sites like Yoshi’s Island to Vanilla Fortress is very well done and very similar to how the show is done. I highly recommend checking it out even if you’ve only seen the opening once and don’t watch the show. The 16-bit Game of Thrones theme is a very cool addition too.
