In the world where zombie-related media reigns supreme, State of Decay released last June for the Xbox 360, with a PC release in November. Undead Labs has been working extremely hard to bring us their Lifeline DLC, and may actually have it out earlier than originally targeted.
Undead Labs is hoping to have the DLC out on May 30 for $6.99, and gave the following explanation for the date:
If all goes well this week, you’ll be playing Lifeline (and the accompanying free Title Update, featuring Rucks in Trucks) by this weekend. If all goes well, this may be the first time in gaming history that a game was released BEFORE the official public target. It’s a long story, best told over copious quantities of frosty beverages, but the short version is that both the Undead Labs team and the crew at Microsoft has been burning the midnight oil to make this happen before State of Decay celebrates its first birthday.
It sounds like Undead Labs has been working extremely hard to get this out, so hopefully their hard work will pay off. A launch trailer for the DLC has also been released by IGN, which you can see below:
