Dragon Quest X released back in 2012 on the Wii, followed by releases on the Wii U, PC, and Android in 2013, while radically changing what we know of the Dragon Quest series by moving to an MMORPG rather than the usual single player style. In the past, we’ve gotten plenty of games like Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XIV brought to the US by Square Enix, but for some reason Dragon Quest X has still yet to make it outside of Japan. Luckily, that might be a possibility according to Square Enix.
During Square Enix’s latest financial results briefing, they revealed that taking Dragon Quest X to other markets was currently “under consideration.” Disappointingly, they do not specify if this means the US or just possibly other Asian markets, like some MMOs tend to do. Maybe E3 will finally bring us the news we have been waiting for on this front.
