Square-Enix has released some information on their sales expectations via their financial results briefing ending March 2014.
In the forthcoming year Square-Enix expects to sell 5.23 Million less video games for the year ending in March 2015. That’s a decline from 17.23 million to 12 million units. They also forecast that their biggest decline will come from the North American market which they perceive will see a drop from 8.2 million to 3.8 million. Japan is expected to see a 4.6 million to 3.40 million drop. The only increase is estimated to be in Europe where they forecast 4.08 to 4.8 million increase game sales.
Some expect that the decline in sales may be an indication that we will not see Final Fantasy XV this year ending March 2015 which is likely the case. More information can be found via the Official briefing PDF.
