PlayStation Now was announced back in January as Sony’s solution to backwards compatibility through streaming on a variety of systems. Starting back in January, invitations went out for the closed beta on the PlayStation 3, but that was it for the time being. With a full release aiming for this summer across multiple platforms, Sony has revealed that the closed beta is finally hitting PlayStation 4 starting today.
Eventually, PlayStation Now will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 3, and select Sony Bravia TVs, but this is a nice step to get another console into the mix. Sony is also planning on expanding its PlayStation 3 closed beta soon, so make sure to sign up right here if you want a chance to get an invite. Keep an eye out for invites to the PlayStation 4 beta as well, but just like the initial PlayStation 3 beta, it will be very limited.
