With the way Nintendo has been keeping the release date of most of its upcoming games so close to its vest, many were wondering if this meant that some may be missing the originally scheduled 2014 release date. However, Nintendo has reconfirmed that four major Wii U titles will still be released before the end of 2014.
During a press briefing in Japan, following their year-end financial results, Nintendo revealed that Super Smash Bros. Wii U was still set for release in Winter 2014. This is kind of odd, since winter doesn’t start until late December, but it more than likely means more the holiday season itself. Nintendo also confirmed that Bayonetta 2, Monolith Software’s X, and Hyrule Warriors were still set to launch sometime this year.
Games like Zelda Wii U, Yarn Yoshi, and Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, were still listed as TBD. Stay tuned for E3 next month where we may get more set release dates on a few of these games.
