The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is still known as one of the greatest games ever to be made today, even with the number of releases in the series since. However, with Nintendo relying more on creativity than outright graphics, the series hasn’t exactly lived up to other offerings in the markets graphically in a long time, though that isn’t what makes the series great. As a result, someone decided to recreate the famous Temple of Time from the pinnacle release in the Zelda series using Unreal Engine 4.
This artists, Michael Eurek, took up this task after a friend challenged him to “recreate an environment from an old game I like using modern techniques.” The result we got was a remake of this classic location in the series, but it does look a little too “Unreal Engine” like and not Zelda enough. Regardless, seeing something like this really makes we wonder how well a full HD remake of Ocarina of Time would sell in today’s market that is so reliant on graphics.
