The Legend of Zelda series has always been known for a lack of full voice acting in its games, besides the abysmal Philips CDI games. However, the Dynasty Warriors series has been known for utilizing a full voice cast, so some wondered if we may finally see full voice acting with the upcoming Hyrule Warriors, but pretty unsurprisingly, the answer to that is no.
The game’s Twitter account had a tweet discussing this matter, which has been translated by ZeldaInformer as the following:
Each character’s voice is modeled after the Zelda universe. It will have that ‘Hey! Listen!’ kind of feeling.
It could have been cool to finally have some voice acting in the series and have it as a testing ground for the series as only a spinoff, but I guess they didn’t want to chance it quite yet.
