Harmonix will be able to develop a reboot of Amplitude as it’s been successfully funded on Kickstarter.
Harmonix had to resort to public funding in order to kickstart development for Amplitude. The goal of $775,000 seemed like a stretch it looked like it wasn’t going to reach its goal. However, backers like Insomniac Games and others pledged a lot of money and the game will now be made.
Amplitude will be remade in HD for the PS3 and PS4. The first game was released for the PS2 way back in 2005.
