The Xbox One will soon have external game storage for those that have flooded their hard drives already.
Major Nelson revealed in a reddit thread the following news about future Xbox One updates:
Lot’s of good work going on to make the console even better – some you’ll see soon, some will show up later. But: it is all good stuff. External game storage is coming soon….I need to check on media support.
Unlike the PS4, you cannot upgrade the 500GB hard drive in the Xbox One. When this new update eventually comes, you can use an external hard drive instead to install and save game data.
This is very good news considering hard drive space fills up very quickly these days with every PS4 and Xbox One game requiring mandatory installs before you can play.
