In today’s day and age, one thing that gamers are constantly discussing are the frame rate capabilities of games, and now we know more details about the Nintendo 3DS version of the upcoming Super Smash Bros.’s frame rate thanks to today’s Nintendo Direct. According to Masahiro Sakurai, most of the game will run at 60 FPS on the 3DS, even in 3D.
The “mostly” part is due to the fact that some of the Assist Trophies and Poke Ball Pokemon will only run at 30 FPS, but all of the fighters will still move at 60 FPS for the smoothest experience possible on the system. Details about the Wii U version of the game were not disclosed at this time dealing with the frame rate. That is likely due to the later release date of Winter 2014 compared to the Summer 2014 release date for the Nintendo 3DS version.
