Gamers were kind of shocked when NES Remix was first announced by Nintendo a few months ago and tomorrow we are already getting a sequel. For those that love this type of game, there is a possibility we may see an upgrade to 16-bit with a SNES Remix or even a Game Boy Remix in the future, depending on support.
NES Remix takes classic NES titles and grabs levels from a number of them and, like the title says, remixes them. In an interview with IGN, NES Remix director Koichi Hayashida spoke about the possibility of other remixes in the future.
If we get a big enough cry for that, with a lot of people saying, ‘Hey, we’d love to see more of these perhaps for the SNES, Game Boy or Game Boy Advance,’ then it would be something we can take a look at.
Hayashida also mentioned the possibility of remixes of non-first party games in the future, including Mega Man and Castlevania.
