The Ace Attorney series has been a staple for Nintendo handhelds for years now through the Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice games. However, this time the series is taking a trip to the past, Japan’s Meiji era specifically.
The news about this game comes from this week’s Famitsu, where it was revealed that the new game will be called “Dai Gyakuten Saiban – Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken,” which roughly translates to “Grand Turnabout Trial – The Adventures of Naruhodou Ryuunosuke.”
It appears we will be taking control of an ancestor of Phoenix Wright based on the name of the character, which isn’t all that surprising considering that series developer Shu Takumi will once again be helming this project that will be available on the Nintendo 3DS.
