Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has shipped over 1 million units worldwide.
This is the number of units shipped to retailers and doesn’t take into account sales to the customer or digital copies. Nevertheless, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes shipping 1 million units has been seen as an achievement.
Some in the industry are surprised that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes had so much demand. This is mainly because some have labelled the game as a “glorified demo” with its short gameplay length.
This is a good sign however that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain could be even bigger when it releases next year.
