With the number of games being made these days, developers are obviously going to be spread all over the world. Thanks to a new law passed by the state of Georgia, developers native to the state will be receiving a major tax break, like is already available for movie and TV productions.
Governor Nathan Deal signed House Bill 958 into law, which gives tax breaks to a number of groups, including food banks and gaming developers. This law will give up to $25 million in tax breaks to these developers, which already include companies like Hi-Rez Studios and Tripwire Interactive. This is certainly good and it will be interesting to see if any gaming companies may be lured to the state due to this bill being passed.
