One of the issues that many people are concerned about are the subscription fees. With many MMOs going to the free-to-play route rather than pay-to-play, there are players out there who firmly believe that The Elder Scrolls Online should have gone free-to-play. Well, from what you will experience and play in this game, Zenimax deserves that monthly subscription as the game is big and with so many places in Tamriel that are left to be discovered, it’s all up to Zenimax on how they will push content to make the game worth coming back to every month. If they stick to their word and keep releasing DLC content every month or so, then $15 a month is worth it.
After spending over fifty hours of playing through The Elder Scrolls Online, I must say that fans of the critically acclaimed series should definitely consider picking up the game. What The Elder Scrolls Online offers is a true single-player experience that lives up to the series expectation, with an opportunity to group with friends to do instances, world bosses, and much more. It may not have the best PvP system at the moment, but it still has the potential to grow and get better through future patches. Those who are looking for a game to replace their World of Warcraft addiction will certainly not find that here as The Elder Scrolls Online is a MMO that gives players of the genre a refreshing and unique experience. Not to mention that it will definitely give you a true Elder Scrolls experience.

April 9, 2014 at 9:25 PMIt will be free to play in less than 3 months, due to a rapid decline in the number of sales.
Horribly boring combat, based on Skyrim and Morrowind combat which was also horribly boring. That’s where the buck stops. If the combat is horrid, there’s no point in even continuing this conversation.

This is an Elder Scrolls game for the customization masses. If you enjoyed other Elder Scrolls games because of the customization options (character creation, crafting, leveling) then you are going to love this game. If you prefer games that give you a specific line to follow then this is not going to be the game for you.
The game itself is geared to encourage exploration. If you just go from town to town doing those quests, you are going to miss probably 50% (if not more) of what this game offers.
If you like customization, story telling and beautiful scenery then this game is definitely for you.
