It seems only yesterday that Star Citizen was at $40 million but the crowd funded game has already reached the $41 million stretch goal.
The main element unlocked by smashing this stretch goal is that a Procedural Generation R&D Team is to be set up. Eventually, this will allow for planet side content to be procedurally generated making whole planets accessible. Currently, only major cities will be accessible on each planetary body.
The $43 million fan voted stretch goal has also been confirmed. The resounding winner was the, hopefully shiny, UEE Marine combat armour. Officially named the Omni Role Combat Armor (ORC) mk9 by Clark Defense Systems it aims to offer a better but more expensive piece of armour.
Most importantly at the next stretch goal the infamous $42 million goal, with reference Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, gamers will get a towel to travel the verse with!
