Ever since the launch of the next console generation this past November, the biggest controversy has been the inability for the Xbox One to reach 1080p in most of its games that have been released. Most have hovered somewhere between 720p and 900p since, which has led to a lot of speculation on whether the system is just not powerful enough when compared to the PlayStation 4.
However, Xbox Director of Development Boyd Multerer has weighed in on the conversation in Xbox The Official Magazine by saying that he believes that developers will achieve native 1080p on the console as time passes and they get more experience on the console.
Once these engines – the engine developers like Frostbyte and those guys – they really wrap their heads around this particular GPU architecture, then all of the titles coming out of that studio will take advantage of it and get better.
Hopefully this is the case and we will start to see native 1080p in titles coming past the launch window.
