Ever since Batman: Arkham Knight was announced, we’ve been hearing that Rocksteady Studios truly plans this to be the end of their trilogy and that they will move on afterwards. Their own Dax Ginn has been making the rounds this last few days and now has explained to IGN why the studio feels they are finished with the Arkham series after Arkham Knight.
We’ve done all we can do here. It’s…it’s kind of time for us to walk away from it.
For us I think the Batmobile is that final thing. It’s such a critical part of the game, the epicenter of the design, but once we’ve done this, I don’t know we’re ever going to feel like we’ve missed out on a critical piece of what it feels like to be the Batman. That was kind of our driving force all along.
Ginn went on even further to joke that he’s had a dream of just shattering the studios when they are done with Arkham Knight and just leaving the industry as rockstars, but we all know that won’t really happen.
