Just like the Summer and Winter Olympics, we always get the World Cup every four years in different locations. You may be wondering what in the world this has to do with gaming, but Japan has brought the two together through their choice of a mascot for the upcoming 2014 World Cup in Brazil in a few months.
The uniform designer for Japan, Adidas, has now announced that Pikachu will be the team’s official mascot, as well as backup from many other Pokemon we know and love like Charmander and Bulbasaur. This is extremely neat and I can’t wait to see it during the World Cup this year. Nintendo has certainly been licensing out its properties a lot since they said they would be doing so, so what would you like to see next?
