The Gauntlet franchise has been around ever since its debut in the arcade in 1985, but sadly has not been very relevant in recent years, even completely bypassing the last generation of consoles. However, that may be changing according to an interesting find by gaming super sleuth Superannuation.
A private Twitter account was found known as @playgauntlet with no information or even a picture in the past. However, it has now been updated with a picture and the following description.

Yesterday, it also included a link to a Gauntlet website that requires a username and password to enter, but that has now been removed from the description. This could end up being a false lead and a fake account, but with GDC coming, it is possible an announcement is forthcoming.
