The Game Developers Conference has been going on all week and arguably the biggest piece of news was the unveiling of Project Morpheus, Sony’s virtual reality headset that is in the works. This of course meant that Microsoft pretty much had to respond in some capacity.
While they didn’t have anything to show off, Microsoft’s Phil Spencer spoke about the potential of VR in the future.
I think the technology’s really interesting, and it’s definitely something we’ve been playing with for quite a while.
Spencer goes further on to say that he does think there is something there with VR, but the question is how mainstream VR will get in the future. He also said that he thought that Sony did a good job with Project Morpheus and that GDC is perfect for showing off new technologies like this.
