Konami Digital Entertainment is one of the most well known companies with games like the recently released Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 and the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. In the midst of these releases, the company has announced that someone new is taking over as President.
The Los Angeles based Konami revealed that the former President Tomoyuki Tsuboi would be transferring back to Japan, something that they say is common in Japanese companies. As a result of this transfer, the company revealed that Tomohiro Uesugi would be taking over as President of the company.
I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve as the head of our talented and passionate employees, and I have a deep respect for our community of fans. We will focus on our talent and iconic brands as we continue to provide innovative products for even deeper and more enjoyable experiences to our customers.
Uesugi joined Konami in the last couple years as the Executive Vice President, so they chose to promote from within in this case.
