Some parts of South Park: The Stick of Truth have been censored for European copies of the game. A humorous message can be seen.
If you get the European version of South Park: The Stick of Truth you will see the above image followed by a message.
The message reads:
You lose again, Europe. This scene, where you try to disable the forcefield around Randy but instead accidentally force the probing machine next to him to probe his ass with violent force is not meant for your eyes. Randy, in obvious rectal pain, urges you to proceed forward.
It’s likely the image and a similar message will be put up during other censored parts in the game. It has been noted though that the PC version remains uncensored. People that live in the USA are able to see the game in all its glory anyway.
Ubisoft mentioned they have censored the game in Europe for “marketing reasons”. I guess this makes sense since South Park can be offensive sometimes to certain groups of people…
South Park: The Stick of Truth releases March 4th for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
