In recent years, there have been multiple reports of people that had their Xbox Live accounts or consoles banned for playing a game prior to their release date. This sometimes comes from people using a hacked system and a leak online, but very often comes from people that legitimately got an early copy from a store, usually a mom and pop type outfit. The good news is that Respawn Entertainment has revealed that those who play Titanfall early will not be getting banned, as long as it’s a real copy.
Vince Zampella, co-founder of Respawn, took to Twitter last night to tell us:
About playing early: We won’t stop or ban legit copies. “It is prelaunch, so there may be interruptions in service as we prep servers.
This is great news for those that may happen to acquire it this weekend prior to the launch on Tuesday, March 11. You can now play it without any worries!
