While the Mega Man franchise almost seems like the red-headed stepchild of Capcom lately, outside of his upcoming appearance in Super Smash Bros., Capcom has teamed up with gaming fashion designer Volante Design to make something very unique for Mega Man fans.
This partnership has brought us this amazing Mega Man jacket, with a hood even based on the Mega Man helmet and a yellow zipper on the arm that emulates the buster gauge.
The cool thing about this jacket and all of Volante’s work is that walks that line between fashionable and faithful so well. With a detachable “helmet”-style hood and subtly inspired color highlights, it works as part of a cosplay ensemble or as an everyday garment.
The only problem is that this is a very limited release that must get 200 pre-orders for the men’s jacket and 100 for the women’s jacket by March 31, or all pre-orders will be cancelled. With a cost of $199.99, this might be a tall task, but with as awesome as these look, I really hope they get a chance to be made.
