Bravely Default just released in the US last month, with a sequel coming possibly later this year, at least in Japan. So far, the series has stayed on the Nintendo 3DS, but it sounds like that might not always be the case.
In an interview with CVG, Silicon Studio president Takehiko Terada discussed how the series might evolve platform wise in the future.
We may expand in the future, but we don’t have a clear plan yet. We’re talking about that, maybe using other devices, but we don’t have a clear plan.
Now, the question is what kind of platforms could we be talking about. Another handheld like the PS Vita, something like iOS, or perhaps even consoles? We’ll just have to wait and see as it’s a good ways away at this point.
