Rocksteady has confirmed that Batman: Arkham Knight will not include a multiplayer.
Game director, Sefton Hill explained that Batman: Arkham Knight “is a single-player game. “Right at the start this was our vision,” he continued to say that “It’s going to take all of our effort for all of this time. We don’t have the time to do multiplayer. We want to focus on making the best single-player experience we can.” “We don’t feel that it needs a multiplayer element. Warner Bros. backed that up right at the start.” It seems that Rocksteady are already set in their ways and just want to focus on delivering an excellent singleplayer experience. The last Batman game, Arkham Origins have had the element of multiplayer, but Rocksteady have decided to scrap the idea all together. Hopefully Rocksteady’s decision will be the right one, and the game will live up the the expectations of it’s predecessors .The game is due to be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC later this year.
