For those that was just chomping at the bit to download the next installment of The Wolf Among Us yesterday, you may have been in for a rude awakening if you were a Season Pass owner. Rather than being able to download Episode 2 – Smoke & Mirrors for free, Xbox Live keeps trying to make you pay $4.99 for it.
I personally experienced this early yesterday and the issue still remains. Telltale Games has said that Microsoft is looking into it, and Microsoft has updated their Xbox Support Twitter pages over time to say that they are still actively working on it and expect a fix by Friday.
It is still rather disappointing that they couldn’t have something like this figured out before launch. If you just absolutely cannot wait, there are reports of people just paying the $4.99 for episode 2 and calling Microsoft to get a refund on that after, but I’d recommend just waiting at this point.
