Chris Roberts has recently confirmed that if the colossal figure of $42 million is reached by Star Citizen then a Procedural Generation R&D Team will be set up.
You might think Roberts, the man behind the Wing Commander series, is crazy for suggesting a crowd funding project could reach such a large amount. For many this would be the case but not for Star Citizen. Only last week did the project that started as a Kickstarter project smash the $39 million stretch goal.
So what will this Procedural Generation Research & Development Team do exactly you ask? With the stretch goal money Cloud Imperium will be able to “develop procedural generation technology for future iterations of Star Citizen.” This means that exploration of entire planets would potentially be possible!
Check out the amazing space based project on the Roberts Space Industries website now.
