Ever since digital gaming because such a major part of the industry in the last generation, many have wondered if we may ever see lower pricing compared to the retail releases. Up until now, most every game has held the same $59.99 price seen in stores for a physical release. Luckily, we might finally be seeing some changes to this trend according to Microsoft.
Mike Ybarra, Studio Manager at Microsoft, used Twitter to post the following message:
Lot of people asked for better deals on our digital marketplace, so we’re testing some…
This comes after the announcement that Ryse: Son of Rome would be marked down to $39.99 on the Xbox Live Marketplace starting tomorrow. Hopefully this is the beginning of something new. Ybarra also responded to a tweet asking if we may see the ability to pre-order new games digitally and download them right at midnight, in which he said he would love to see this and that they “have a long list of features coming to LIVE!”
