Since the launch of Killer Instinct alongside the Xbox One, the game has received a few patches along the way, with the latest coming with the release of the first DLC character, Spinal late last month. However, a new feature added in this patch to improve online play has actually made it worse for some competitors. Luckily, Double Helix says that they aim to fix these problems in the soon to be released next patch, amongst other issues.
The last patch introduced something known as the jail system, where players who disconnect from matches often, rather from rage quits or unstable connections, would be matched up with one another in the hopes of making the game experience better for most players. However, this led to many players experiencing constant game crashes. As a result, the upcoming patch will wipe the slate clean for Jail stats.
This new patch will also feature many other little fixes, such as to better balance Spinal. You can check out the full rundown of changes right here.
