After the highly successful reboot of the Mortal Kombat series with Mortal Kombat 9, there was little doubt that we’d be seeing a major sequel for the game in the next few years. Now, some surprising news has come out about a connection between the star of 24 and Mortal Kombat.
In an interview with IGN, Kiefer Sutherland teased that he had some sort of involvement in a Mortal Kombat game, which you would think is likely the unnamed Mortal Kombat 10.
I did Mortal Kombat, and that’s such a huge game, but it’s so not like [MGS5].
Sutherland went further to say that while it took nearly a year to do the voice work in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V, his work on Mortal Kombat was much shorter. Now the question is who he will be voicing in this new game. Could it be a returning fighter or something new and surprising? We’ll just have to wait and see, but who do you hope he voices if it is a returning fighter from the series that did not appear in Mortal Kombat 9?
