With Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze having just released, we thought it would be a good time to help out with some guides for the game. In this game, to access the three bonus levels in each world, you must find at least one secret exit to gain access to the rest. As a result, we thought it would be a good idea to tell you where to find these exits, as some are harder to find than the others. Over the last few days, we’ve brought you the secret exits for the first couple worlds in the game and now it’s time to take a look at the third world of the game, Sea Breeze Cove.
As you can tell by the name, this is the water themed world, so of course that means we must prepare for even more complicated secret exits. This one is a little different as we have a regular secret exit to get to 4-A, but actually access 4-B from within a secret in 4-A itself.
4-1 Deep Keep (Leads to 4-A Rockin’ Relics)
You must have Dixie Kong to reach this secret exit. This secret exit was by far the more difficult one for me to find in the entire game and I hate to admit how many times it took me playing through multiple levels in World 4 to finally find it. That is because it is the first one to force us to backtrack after unlocking something further in the stage.
Play through the stage until you reach the first checkpoint and keep going. Get past the electric eel and fan that will blow you back on and off. You will then reach an area that moves downhill with rotating spikes. A little ways down this path, you will see the location in the above image and you must take note of it.
Move forward a little bit until you see one of the barriers that require you to touch three circles to pass, as seen in the image directly above. Activate these three circles, but instead of moving forwards, go back where you came from and you will find the object I spoke about above now fallen due to losing its power, as seen in the image below.
At this point all you have to do is go up and use Dixie Kong’s underwater ability to swim through the currents and you will reach the secret exit for this level.
4-A Rockin’ Relics (Leads to 4-B Fugu Face-Off)
You must have Cranky Kong or Dixie Kong to reach this secret exit. This one is certainly a little easier and less complicated to find and reach than the last. The secret exit this time is near the end of the stage, so we are going to start off by playing through the stage until you reach the second checkpoint. Move forward from here a little while until you reach an area with four bouncing spike balls. You are going to be utilizing these balls to reach a vine that is swinging above the very right ball. Technically, you can bounce off of the flying enemy to the right and propeller up to the vine with Dixie, but it is much simpler to use Cranky Kong. Bounce off of the very right spike ball when it looks like you will be able to grab the vine and you should have just enough height to do so. If you miss, you can backtrack a bit and the spike balls will respawn. Once you are up there, jump to the right and you will be at the secret exit for the stage.
Just like in the other worlds, to access the final bonus stage 4-K, collect the four KONG letters in each stage, including 4-A and 4-B and it will open up. Stay tuned for the remaining two worlds’ secret exits in the coming days.
