Gaming messageboard NeoGAF, as well as many other gaming forums, have had numerous rumors started over the years, but many actually end up becoming true. Now, a poster has gone on the site and given some information about multiple Xbox related titles. One of those is in fact Halo 2 Anniversary for the Xbox One.
The moderator verified insider ntkrnl began posting and gave some very interesting news about Halo 2 Anniversary. He claims that Halo 2 Anniversary will be hitting Xbox One on November 11 and will include beta access to Halo 5. He also says that Halo 5 won’t be coming until next year, rather than later this year as expected. If this is real, either the recent talk that the next Halo journey starts this year were too early to say, or he just meant Halo 2 Anniversary.
He also says that both Saber and Certain Affinity will be returning from Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary for the campaign and multiplayer respectively. He goes further to say that the game will be 1080p, but 60 FPS is kind of iffy right now on it.
There is also said to be more than one version of the game. The Collector’s Edition will come with the beta access and the non-Blomkamp Halo series. The War Edition will come with those two things, as well as ports of Halo 3 and Halo 4 for Xbox One.
These rumors could of course be nothing but total lies, but they are interesting at least. For now, take these with a grain of salt until we get more information.
