PlanetSide 2 is the massively multiplayer online first-person shooter from Sony Online Entertainment that launched for PC back in late 2012. Earlier last year, the game was also announced as coming to PlayStation 4 sometime in 2014. To start off the year, Sony Online Entertainment has released a brand new video to showcase their plans for PlanetSide 2 in 2014.
The video shows off some statistics from the history of the game as well as some general combat in the war for Auraxis. Then the trailer kicks into high gear with the actual 2014 content near the end that includes the introduction of the Hossin continent as well as the Nexus Battle Island. It of course ends with the information that it is coming to PlayStation 4 sometime this year as well, which we already knew. It was also said elsewhere that the game will begin to receive mini-updates each week from here on out, so stay tuned for those!
