Everybody by now knows about the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, which will serve as a prologue to the full Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. However, we didn’t know much of the details on how large Ground Zeroes will be, that is until now. Hideo Kojima took to Twitter to discuss more details about Ground Zeroes, including the overall map size in comparison to The Phantom Pain. Thanks to Siliconera, we have a translation of his tweet.
GZ is both a prologue to the MGSV story and, at the same time, a tutorial for a new MGS, which transitions to sneaking simulator. With that said, GZ has a relatively small field as compared to the main game (which is hundreds of times larger) without time zones changing in real-time. However, each mission offers different time zones with different playstyles.
Kojima also recently posted that it has been difficult to go back and forth between the four controllers types that are being used for the game across the four consoles.
