Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is the very much awaited prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain that is scheduled for release this March. In completely unsurprising news, Ground Zeroes has been rated M by the ESRB.
The description for the game explains what we expect from a Metal Gear Solid game with a lot of violence through the use of a variety of guns, as well as close combat stealth kills with knifes or your bare hands. Beyond the basics, the description also gives some exact detail about the game as seen below:
One cutscene includes a depiction of blood and gore (e.g., a character’s intestines exposed during a dramatic procedure to remove an object). The game includes an audio file in which a female character is sexually assaulted by male characters; while there is no visual depiction, sounds of ripped clothing and struggle can be heard. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” are heard in the dialogue.
To those that have played the series, this is far from a surprise, but it is nice to know a few details about events in the game.
