Dating back to months before the release of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, we were told that the game would have some nods to the very underrated The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. This included Majora’s Mask hanging in your house in the game among some other hints. Now, an interview with Hiromasa Shikata in Game Informer has led to another tease about the game that many want to see a remake or sequel made for on the Nintendo 3DS or Wii U.
Game Informer: “We found Majora’s Mask and another subtle reference to Link’s Nintendo 64 adventure in Ravio’s Journal. Are there any other Majora’s Mask references that we missed?”
Hiromasa Shikata: “[Having Majora’s Mask in Link’s house] was a special request from Aonuma’s production team. Now why would they ask us to do that?”
Aonuma is of course Eiji Aonuma, who has overseen a number of entries in the Legend of Zelda series, including Majora’s Mask. What would you rather see at this point? A remake for one of the two Nintendo systems or a brand new adventure in Termina?
