Some people that bought the PC version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance have noticed the game is only playable if you’re always connected online.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was released on the PC earlier this week via Steam. Even though the game is a single player only game, you cannot play the game offline. Even if your internet gets cut-off for a few seconds, you are booted out. The game’s description on Steam doesn’t say that it’s an online-only game.
Konami have bee alerted of the issue and have noted it’s not a DRM policy.
Here’s what they tweeted:
We are aware of the offline play issue for Metal Gear Rising for Steam and are working on a fix. Please stay tuned for more updates!
It’s likely to be a bug so for those that have Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance on PC, don’t worry as a fix should be coming very soon.
