343 Industries has lost a good one, as the senior art director for Halo 4, Kenneth Scott, has announced that he is stepping down from his position at 343 Industries to be with his family. He will still be working in a remote capacity with 343 Industries in a new position they have made called visual design consultant.
Scott’s wife also formerly worked for 343 Industries before taking a job at Naughty Dog back in November, which required the two to be apart, likely leading to his stepping down. After Halo 4 finished, it is believed that Scott also worked on the currently unnamed Halo title for Xbox One.
343 Industries has already announced Scott’s successor, as his former colleague and collaborator Nicolas “Sparth” Bouvier is taking over the role as art director for the Halo franchise. A spokesperson that announced this information also mentioned that they can’t wait to share more information on the forthcoming Halo title for Xbox One very soon.
